Our Anysberg name comes from a region in the heart of the Little Karoo, where the founding family has been farming for more than 5 generations. The Anysberg mountain is situated between the towns of Laingsburg, Montagu, Barrydale and Ladismith in the Western Cape of South Africa. The Anysberg mountain is a divider of the Great and Little Karoo on the southern side. Farther north the Anysberg mountain becomes the Swartberg mountain. On the northern side of the Anysberg mountains you will find the beautiful Anysberg Nature Reserve. On the south side of the mountain there are various farms such as Zewenfontein, Zandfontein, Papkuilsfontein as well as the farms located under the Prinsrivier dam. The Prins River dam is situated in the Anysberg mountains where the Prins river cuts through the Anysberg mountain. The water of the dam supplies water to the farms next to the Prins river underneath the dam. It is a simple world, peculiar to the mind of life in the Little Karoo. Everything is quiet; peaceful, nothing happens fast here. Just like the drying process of our Anysberg Biltong and droëwors. Slowly cured to perfection! It is also from the Anysberg region that our ancient family recipes come from, to make our delicious biltong, dry sausage and delicatessen products.
